sam poured maple syrup on a toasterwaffle & set the plate on thedeck rail. within a matter of minutes, every syrup filled square of the waffle hosted at leastone fly.there were 33 flies on the wafflehe deduced that the syrup doubled& perhaps tripled the weightof each fly.he placed the waffle on a kitchen scale & noted that the fliesadded .05% to the weight ofthe syrup soaked treat.he left the plate on the deck rail& watched with wonder as a crowsettled beside the plate.
