1922.

The wriggliest period of a spider lowered itself from the chandelier and into the spaces between the keyboard of his computer.

sam poured maple syrup on a toaster
waffle & set the plate on the
deck rail.

within a matter of minutes, every syrup filled square of the
waffle hosted at least
one fly.

there were 33 flies on the waffle

he deduced that the syrup doubled
& perhaps tripled the weight
of each fly.

he placed the waffle on a kitchen scale & noted that the flies
added .05% to the weight of
the syrup soaked treat.

he left the plate on the deck rail
& watched with wonder as a crow
settled beside the plate.
